I am working as Team Leader-JMTS ( Software Development ) in I I S, NOIDA
( a US based Co. headquatered in North Carolina) since March '98 till date
. The job is related to Application Migration, Client side/On-site Testing
of Converted Application on IBM RS/6000 Environment and conversion from
legacy flavor of COBOL/IDEA Screens to MF-COBOL with embedded SQL on
DB2/6000 as backend for STATEFARM Insurance Co. (USA) , a Fortune 500
Company. The task involves execution, Testing & implementation of Project
at USA.

Worked as an SOFTWARE ENGINEER in Skan Systems Solutions Pvt. Ltd., New
Delhi,having tie up with CGN & Associates ,USA and TASK MANAGEMENT,USA,
since November 1996.The job involved development of software applications in
MF-COBOL and Microsoft Access 2.0 under DOS 6.2 and Windows '95 platform
respectively.

of associated IFPL,.LA and Binary files to target MF-COBOL programs with DB2
as RDBMS with embedded SQL, to be implemented on client server IBM RS/6000
Machine. It is also required to carry over logic from IDEA source as well as
to generate FrontEnd Screen format exactly similarly in MF-COBOL target but
taking care of syntactic rules.The critical part is the exactly generation
of Screens.Logic residing inside IDEA source programs needs to be
interpreted for very purpose. It is also required to test and implement the
migrated application on the IBM (RS/6000) client server platform under AIX
4.1(Unix).

Project Summary : The On-line help system was to be implemented on client's
mainframe for providing on-line documentation of applications existing on
the system. The On-line help system included option to enter functional,
specifications and user documentation. Allowed retrieval of stored
information using index based search techniques. The system also recorded
all logs for update/modification of document information and generated
reports for reviews.It was to be run on a IBM 3090 but the code was
developed in DOS environment.

Role and Responsibilities : Team Member.

My role involved studying the system specifications made available from CGN
and to do coding of programs in Cobol. The job required thorough
understanding of Cobol. Iwrote more than 20 programs involving data entry
screen and report generation. Also was part of the testing phase.

Project Summary : The System was developed for providing information to all
employees of the TCM division about the status of various projects in
pipeline and various projects under execution. The projects under execution
were divided into various stages and each employee associated at any stage
of the project was provided access to the relevant information and the
status of project. Various users of the system had different rights on each
of the module, so as to maintain secrecy of the system.The system also
maintained information relating to various projects where Siemens had
submitted bids and was expecting business.

Role and Responsibilities : Team Member .

I was involved from the beginning of the project. I was part of the team
involved in designing the database and later in development of various
screen for input. Also designed and developed a few critical MIS reports.

vendors with supply price and accelerated delivery.

Validations for Master files:
· Modifications & deletion possible only when ID exist
· While deleting a record in master file, there should not be any
entry in the transaction file

Validation for Transaction file:
· For any transaction to be performed, the system checks for both
supplier ID & item ID and also confirms for whether that item is
been supplied by that vendor.
· After any valid transaction, the corresponding masters are
automatically updated with latest information.
· In any case Quantity on hand does not go less than Re-order level.

ii)
Project : Y2K CONVERSION PROJECT
Duration : 2 Weeks
Team Strength : Three.
Environment : MF Cobol, XDB-DB2, CICS, ADMVS

Project Summary : This was a Payroll application (pilot project) for Y2K
conversion. The Cobol code with embedded DB2 commands was available for
conversion using the expanded field method. Few of the programs were also
converted into On-line mode from Batch mode using CICS. The project
consisted of 0.1 million lines of Cobol and DB2 code.

Role : Team Member.

Converted 10 programs successfully to make them Y2K compatible. Also
converted 3 batch programs to on-line mode using CICS.
