Wildlife In Gujarat

Sasan Gir
Gir National Park allowes the visitors to glimpse wildlife in its natural surroundings. The last refuge of the Asiatic lion on Earth, the Gir National Park is located in the Junagadh district in Gujarat. Spread over 2450 hectares, this beautiful sanctuary offers visitors the best in flora and fauna. As visitors pass through this park, they can view rivers making their way through the lush green thick forests.


Little Rann
A sanctuary designated for the protection of the desert region of north-west Gujrat, especially the outer rim and a narrow belt of adjacent land. A variety of desert life can be found here, notably the surviving herds of the Indian wild ass(khur); also wolf and caracal (a large, pale cat with tufted ears). Access can be arranged at Bhuj. The best time is from October to June.
