Shrimp Masala 

Ingredients 

  • Shrimp 1 lb
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Chopped Onions 2 med size 
  • Chopped Tomato 1 
  • Chopped Ginger 1/2 inch
  • Chopped Garlic 2 cloves 
  • Chopped Green chilies 2 
  • Grated Fresh coconut 1/2 cup 
  • Coriander 
  • Kokam 3-4 pieces
  • Salt 
Method  
  • Clean the shrimp and apply salt, a pinch of turmeric and chili powder. 
  • Take 4 tbsp oil in a pan. When hot, add the onions, ginger, garlic and green chilies - saute the mix. 
  • Add tomatoes and saute well. 
  • Add the shrimp and fry till the shrimp is cooked. 
  • Grind coconut with a little water and add to shrimp. Cook with lid closed. 
  • When curry is well- cooked, add kokam and garnish with coriander leaves. 
Serve hot with plain rice or chapatis.
