Ingredients 

  • 1 cup rice
  • 5-6 spoons thick tamarind juice
  • 4 spoons of oil
  • 4 red chillies
  • 1 spoon channa dal
  • 1/2 spoon urad dal
  • 1/4 spoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 spoon jeera
  • 1/4 spoon asofoetida
  • 1/4 spoon haldi
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
Method 
  • Cook rice. Soak channa dal in little water and keep aside. 
  • Add oil in a pan and heat it. 
  • After heating the oil add red chillies, urad dal, mustard, jeera, asofoetida and keep heating till urad dal becomes brown. 
  • Add curry leaves,channadal, tamarind juice and some salt. Cook this for 3 minutes. 
  • Add this tamarind juice and others into the cooked rice. Mix well
serve with lemon pickle.
